​Once I got hold of a spirograph, this seemed the obvious thing to do. As I was working, subtle things began to emerge, for example, how the piece shifts to a pattern made up of the voids when you are closer, or the silver sheen where the graphite is the thickest. Scale is a bigger player here than in any other piece I've made.
